Works by artists Aron Belka and Debra Howell are currently featured in Louisiana Contemporary at the Odgen Museum of Art. Every August the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, in connection with Whitney White Linen Night, hosts its opening reception for its annual exhibition Louisiana Contemporary Presented by The Helis Foundation. Established in 2012, this statewide, juried exhibition promotes contemporary art practices in the state of Louisiana, provides exhibition space for the exposition of living artist’s work, and engages a contemporary audience that recognizes the vibrant visual culture of Louisiana and the role of New Orleans as a rising, international art center.

Now in its 8th year, the Artisan Series is excited to announce its new partner, Artsy. This partnership will help provide emerging artists with a powerful platform to share their work with more curators, collectors, and art enthusiasts than ever before. Artists will submit a photo of their artwork online for a chance to show at LeMieux Galleires in November, for the opportunity to showcase their work at SCOPE Miami Beach in December. On Saturday April 1st we will be hosting a reception for "From the Outside In": benefiting Grace at the Greenlight, a nonprofit that feeds and provides basic needs for the homeless in New Orleans. Inspired by the photos of William "Termite" Hardy, the show features works by Aron Belka, Epaul Julien, Elizabeth Pratt, Rontherin Ratliff and Wayne Manns. A portion of the proceeds from the show will go to help Grace at the Greenlight with their mission.
